No communication is better than poor communication.

In the case where communication problems exist between two people such that problem resolution often means a total communication ban, one has the comfort of fabricating reasons and possible outcomes for a given imagined situation. In such an instance, lifting the communication ban just leaves at least one party feeling rubbish post verbal exchange.
