Tell tale signs that a girl is flirting or showing interest in a member of the opposite (possibly even same) gender:
1) Twirling hair around finger (this can happen automatically, the girl may not even be aware she’s doing this).
2) Standing with both hands infront of her, on a desk or resting on something in a manner that pushes the chest out.
3) Carefully bringing herself very close to the guy, hovering, but not touching. There will be accidental touching here. Oops.
4) Hair flip.
5) Giggling.
6) Touching parts of your clothing or parts around the ends of your hair, neck, is generally considered a tell tale sign of flirting with the opposite gender.
7) Lots of laughing (what’s so funny, one wonders).
9) She touches his hand/arm/biceps (I used to do this but I’m a touchy person AND NEVER did it to flirt. EVER.).
10) Teasing – but this can be misconstrued, some people are just naturally cheeky and playful. Don’t confuse everyone with a personality for a flirt.
Some people think that if a girl smiles at them, she’s flirting. She’s not… well, not necessarily 🙂
11) Outright compliments (again, don’t confuse a generous woman with a flirty one)

3) He’s being “macho macho man” – voice is gruff, or deep, he’s in control and talking about something in a very “i know my stuff” manner.
4) He’s creating a lot of noise. Throwing things around on his desk, he writes but he scraps the piece of paper and throws it aggressively in the bin. Not to be confused with when he’s angry.
4) He stares at the girl.
5) He tries to make conversation or say something funny everytime he catches her eye.
6) He tries to say something funny to catch her attention.
7) Body language says, i’m covering you. I’m all over you, sometimes this can be intimidating, or hot, depending.
8) He gets either very close physically to the girl or stays very closed up but body language is receptive to girl, his body is facing hers, he is open and facing the girl.
9) Outright compliments

You humans surely have strange pre-mating rituals. I have not been able to decipher these even after an almost quarter century of observation.
