Maryam’s Keenly Observed Facts of Life (Part 56)

It takes heartache to realise you can need.

It takes need to understand weakness.

It takes weakness to invoke courage.

It takes courage to realise you can love.

  1. It takes courage to realise you can love.

    Good one – deep.

I once liked a girl who unfortunately was not Bengali nor did she live where I live.

It was a “friend” thing but I didn’t pursue it any further just out of fear it could turn into love and I wouldn’t have the guts to follow it to relocate etc. etc.

  2. Is that so? Interestingly you didn’t expect her to relocate. You should write about your heroism. I think not making promises you can’t fulfill is more sincere than making promises and then breaking them. Good on you for not breaking her heart.
