Maryam’s Dead Ended, Seemingly Rhetorical but Generally Futile Questions about Life (Part 23)

To the martyrs among us, I would like to pose a simple question: Why?

Why prostrate yourself at the altar of sacrifice when no just reward await you?

Why kill yourself under the false, oh so false assumption that severing your needs will suffice another’s not being met?

Why suffer in silence when your enemies clatter vociferously, claiming victory with each uproar?

Why?
