Calling All Writers

I saw this post featured on Freshly Pressed and want to complete the exercises detailed in this post.

Here are ten sentences to finish. Either finish the sentence or use it as a writing prompt to get going on a paragraph, a short story, or even a novel:

  1. Beneath the wrinkled bed sheet…
  2. The mop gently glided over the floor…
  3. The perfume bottle on the vanity…
  4. Before he ran away…
  5. On the first day of spring…
  6. Eating lunch on Monday…
  7. The snake charmer at the circus…
  8. A flash of lightning signaled…
  9. The withered toy rocking horse…
  10. When the stray cat came…

Would love to get your input. I’ll put mine up in a day or two.
