  1. The mop gently glided over the floor where moments before Alex had vomited most of his dinner. Taya was a great maid, she always made everything alright.
  2. The mop gently glided over the floor and as if in unison the lid on my new stainless steel pot clapped happily on the stove. I was happy cleaning floors, running chores and making lunches for the kids. I understood that they weren’t my kids but I didn’t see at the time why that needed to make the job less pleasurable.
